Concept Artist Show... Hide...

MumboJumbo is looking for a highly skilled Concept Artist to add to our visualization team. The ideal candidate has experience concept drawing and illustrating a diverse visual range of characters, creatures, weapons, architecture and environments. A strong understanding of form, structure, color, light and a creative eye is essential. Concept Artist should have a basic understanding of game art creation (low poly modeling and texturing) and be well-versed in related tools -- Photoshop, Painter, Maya/3DS Max, etc. The ideal candidate works well in an environment of peers who are passionate about making great games.
Qualifications:
•   1+ year experience as a professional concept artist
•   An exceptional understanding of human and creature anatomy and a keen eye towards form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regards to illustration and asset creation.
•   Great eye for light, composition, value, color, staging and detail in environmental design.
•   The ability to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time game environments.
•   Self-driven, good communicator and a great team-player.
•   A passion for games.
•   Skill in one or more of the related creation tasks - modeling, texturing, animation
•   Enjoy experimenting with different art styles and genres.
•   Willingness to learn new technologies.

QA Tester Show... Hide...

Jump into the gaming industry with an entry-level QA job and learn valuable skills for software development as you help MumboJumbo achieve a high level of quality in our games.

As a QA Tester, your job is to act as the laboratory scientist of the gaming world, methodically running series of devious test to ensure that games adhere to rigorous standards of quality and performance.

Job duties include:
•   Find and report software bugs
•   Research technical details for bugs
•   Help create and run test cases
•   Test compatibility of games across various hardware configurations

Qualifications:
•   Strong computer skills
•   Good attention to detail
•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•   Good instincts for investigation and deductive reasoning
•   A strong malicious streak towards software preferred. In other words, you like to break games.
•   Previous testing experience ideal, but not required
•   Experience with consoles is a plus
•   Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required

MumboJumbo is seeking an experienced QA tester to supervise QA testers and test leads as they engage in their daily duties of testing games. An ideal candidate will exhibit a thorough understanding of QA and test practices, the ability to effectively manage and train testers, a dedication to high quality in software, and the ability to effectively estimate work and meet deadlines in an environment of high change.

Job duties include:
•   Create test plans and supervise test case creation by test leads and testers
•   Report status on testing activities to the QA Manager
•   Mentor and train new testers on testing fundamentals, test case creation, test tools, defect finding and reporting, and software development process.
•   Day to day management of QA personnel
•   Determine when testing is complete

Qualifications:
•   An unquenchable passion for computer and/or console gaming
•   Superb technical skills with computers, including knowledge of various video and audio technologies (video cards, motherboards, processors, platforms, etc.)
•   Able to create a methodical and complete outline of test cases for any piece of software, with or without design documentation
•   2+ years experience in testing (personnel management experience a plus)
•   Thorough understanding of QA process, including the ability to quickly assess defect severity and recommend action
•   Expert at defect finding and root cause analysis
•   Excellent written and verbal communication
•   Good multi-tasker, with the ability to delegate and perform well within a deadline-driven environment
•   Able to learn new things and adapt quickly to challenges
•   Experience with bug tracking software (JIRA, Bugzilla, Test Track Pro, or similar)

Job Description/Responsibilities:
•   Coordinate the flow of games from the Production Department to launch
•   Work with the marketing department to prepare marketing plans for each game’s launch and support documentation
•   Plan, coordinate and execute product launches with our online partners
•   Administrate all required contract and amendment changes related to game launches
•   Organize and track game files across our internal network
•   Maintain the master record of game assets available and in use by our partners
•   Package and distribute download and web games
•   Track and report online sales
•   Play and review all games released into the market, and write a one page report on its merits and potential for retail distribution
•   Conduct launch post-mortems
•   Responsible for financial reconciliation of payments received from our online partners
•   Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

•   Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or Business
•   2+ years internet related experience
•   Superior organizational skills
•   Ability to effectively and independently manage competing demands
•   Excellent writing, communication and analytical skills
•   Competency with MS Office, Photoshop, HTML, Flash, Java and ActiveX components
